Hi, it's me, Joe.
Now I expect by now that you know I am an intrepid adventurer, a fella who likes to meet challenges head on, and overcome adversity. Truth be told, however, I don't really have much of a head for heights: I'm much more a feet-firmly-on-the-ground type of guy.
But when an opportunity for bravery arises, I'll be there (even if I am neatly tucked into my safety harness). And so it was that I headed up to the Thetford Forest, to Go Ape for a Treetop Junior Adventure, courtesy of my friends at Lands' End, who also very kindly kitted me out in some cool clobber, including a pair of jeans that have secretly reinforced knees to reduce the risk of holes in the vicinity (my mummy was pretty impressed by this, since she does tend to moan rather a lot when I come home from school with my trousers ripped to shreds… And I can never remember how it actually happened!).
Anyway, this Go Ape malarky is soooo much FUN! It's a bit like I'm A Celebrity and you get to climb really high then walk across all these wonky, wobbly bridges, and tightropes and – best of all – whizz down a zipwire for your grand finale. Try it if you get the chance!
Joe's wardrobe: Jeans and T-shirt by Lands' End; jacket by Ralph Lauren Polo; shoes by Mini Boden.
