Joe Blogs has a blast at Blackpool

Hi, it's me, Joe.

Off on my travels again to the sunny climes of Blackpool – hence my funky glasses, an homage to the glittering seaside town and Elton John, all rolled into one. I was guest of honour (well, sort of) at the opening of the new Blackpool Eye with a viewing platform, with spectacular views across the beach and a glass floor – yikes! – that only the brave, ie, yours truly, are strong enough to walk on.

Some people might think that Blackpool is a bit on the tacky side. Well, I think my glasses will put paid to any such nonsense! Plus, did you know that Blackpool has the most fabulous sandy beach? It's enough to make a guy just want to kick off his D&Gs and get stuck in. Here's a little photo reportage of my beachy pursuits. Greetings from Blackpool, indeed…
