Hi, it's me, Joe.
My great Indian adventure is coming to an end, and where better to spend our final day than Bollywood's home town, the City of Dreams: Mumbai. I loved our hotel Trident – and as soon as we arrived, the manager said he was going to spoil me! He didn't disappoint. We started with a personal cookery masterclass with the chef. We cooked pizza – not very authentic Indian cuisine, I know, but the best pizza I've ever eaten. I looked very professional in my chef's whites and hat – my buddy Raymond Blanc would have been proud!
Later, we headed off to Bandstand, with a bustling promenade by the beach (not sandy, I'm afraid, but lots of rubbish!). I had a kickaround in the playground with a local lad – I didn't say anything about his pink princess football. It was just great to play with someone, rather than look at ancient relics (sorry, mummy).
Afterwards, we had crepes and then shopping. I was exhausted by then and fell asleep in the restaurant. Thank heavens for a kind waiter who carried me up to my room. Sweet Dreams!
Though my Indian dream is nearly over…
Love Jx
