Joe Blogs gets the festive season started at Winter Wonderland

Hi, it's me, Joe.

Forget about a certain Justin Bieber switching on the Christmas lights at Westfield – twice! For me, the festive season doesn't really kick off until I hop on a reindeer and have a mooch around Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. Just before the event opened to the public, I spent an evening (on a school night, I'll have you know) mingling with the likes of Matt Cardle and Gareth Gates: I think they were both pretty chuffed to meet me.

I LOVE Winter Wonderland. The best bits were the Reindeer Derby (see me and Vixen, above) and the inflatable snowman in Santaland and the 5D cinema. Mummy always tries to entice me to the more sedate carousels, but I also made sure she was shaken and stirred on the whizzy roller-coaster. Bet she wishes she didn't have that glass of mulled wine! I'm definitely going back cos we didn't even have time to fall over on the ice rink or visit Zippo's Circus!
