It was another grand day out at this season's Bubble, which continues to attract a wide variety of established and new childrenswear labels. This season's show was made even more exciting by spotting lots of our Junior Design Award entrants prominently displaying their awards.

In terms of popular colours for Spring Summer 2012, we spied plenty of mustard yellow, at Little Esop and Christina Rohde, burnt orange, at Kidscase, chalky blues, at Ta Daa, and primary colours at Little Duckling, Seasalt and relative newcomer, Tootsa MacGinty. Tartan checks were prominent for boys, as seen at Mummymoon and bold checks for both - as seen at No Added Sugar and Little Duckling.

Other key trends included ruffle detailing, and interestingly a combination of washed out pinstripes bold stripes and bold checks. Pleats and personal touches drew our attention to the importance of the personal touch for Spring Summer 2012 - the design is certainly in the detail. As we have seen for a few seasons now, there was an abundance of Liberty print fabrics and we were impressed by newcomer Milla-Moo - who only had six dresses, but certainly made an impression.

Don't miss... Junior discovering lots of exciting new children's fashion labels for SS12 as well as more from the perennially chic labels we know and love.
