Replay & Sons held a large party the night before, the focus being the new direction for the kids wear line, the press release stating ‘to focus on the kids again so that they are able to freely express themselves and their exceptionality can be recognized.
So here we are to see how exceptionality can be recognized. First on are two models dressed like Cher from Clueless, in oversized baseball jumpers, kilts and knee high socks.
The collection sees Replay rebuffing the usual branding that past collections have centered on, which is refreshing.
Boys are less sporty than usual and easy round neck knits in shades of muted greens, bold purples and pillar box reds, balance over Replays well cut denim offerings. The high spot being a fringed rocker leather jacket that moves pleasingly on the catwalk. Other promising boys looks are the sharp pinstripe shirts which casually lay over denim.
Girls wear plays on American retro, think a new fangled high school girl kitted in the latest beret and knee highs, crossed between hip hop wear from the eighties. Padded jackets are popular in the girl’s looks, in bright pinks and reds. The standout being a fun fur hooded bomber, which is forthright to say the least!
