A shuttle bus shoots press and buyers to an industrial estate on the outskirts of Florence for Thursdays final show, hosted in a disco-tech, a rapid escape from the Plaza’s Monnalisa usually showcase in!
The talk is of the debut boy’s collection which will be shown with the girls tonight. For which the show begins with! Boys sport, sporty outfits! Hooded zip ups layered over numbered tees, stripe tracks matched with shiny purple padded jackets. For the girls camouflage is presented in a refreshing light, patterned over usually feminine ruffled dresses and net skirts. An a-line monochrome fur coat with oversized collar is a hit and a pillar-box red pleated dress which is opened up by the model, looks accordion like. Baseball boots covered in black lace prints are also alluring.
Monnalisa displayed a variety of ideas tonight, some referenced street wear, others cool girls uniform, but the most successful were the camouflage looks and the lace printed baseball boots, that played cleverly with juxtapositions, not sure if they would be the sellable staples, but creatively they looked great.
