A giant Polar bear is first on to the catwalk balancing on a trapeze bike; the predominantly Italian audience love it and clap eagerly. But luckily the Liu-Jo collection remains subtle, subtle for all the good reasons. Boys wear being stronger. Boys sport fine wool stripes, layered under wool sailors jackets with hoods, combined with jersey pants and work boots, slightly east end London cool, but thankfully not too much. Padded jackets are shaded in a muted palette of off blues, combined with maroon hoodies that have hats structure into the hood.
Girls wear is slightly inconsistent, but strongest are the matt silver moon boots, girl’s sport everything from maroon padded jackets to wool pinafores styled with bizarre hippy headbands and the random pink clutch bag, colours often clashing. Focal point being a gangster style padded jacket with Liu-Jo’s logo patterned all over.
The general feel is sporty and smart mixed together. Boys wear was excellently put together, with great baseball themed styling and a nice muted colour pallet, with no overloading of purple!
