French style for fabulous children
French fashion house IKKS has opened its first ever standalone childrenswear store in the UK. IKKS firmly stated its high end credentials earlier this year with the opening of its womenswear store on the iconic fashion destination South Molton Street.
The brand has quickly become loved by fans for its simple staples, with a luxe twist - the women's bomber jacket with faux-fur arms is a favourite of ours. The men's range (available online) is similarly edgy.
The new IKKS Junior pop-up store is located on St Johns Wood High Street, already home to renowned fashion brands including Joseph, Zadig and Voltaire, plus a rare branch of the country's most exclusive lingerie store Rigby & Pellar. It will remain open until February 2017 for all things urban chic, with the AW17 range in store now.
In keeping with the adult collections, we can expect lots of textured fabrics, even cooler urban chic and a hint of designer sports-luxe from the IKKS Junior collection.
The brand hopes that this is just the start for IKKS Junior in the UK. Martin Gapic, IKKS Junior’s Sales Director believes that now is the right time to bring the brand to the UK and improve its brand awareness nationally, stating that London has, "a strong appetite for an urban chic style, which is a great match for our brand".
Assuming all goes to plan, his intention is to launch a permanent IKKS presence in the capital later next spring.
The IKKS Junior AW16 collection is available now in the St Johns Wood store and or online at IKKS.com
