Diesel Show Report

The theme for a/winter seems to be workman meets sports man on a winters walk. Boys tumble out in exaggerated padded motorcycle boots (some falling over), with black face paint smeared on their faces to replicate oil. The boys collection plays tribute to protection, with oversized padded jackets, trousers with military detailing, padded gloves and leather aviation hats. A bomber crafted in black leather and purple jersey, teamed with a leather flat cap is the more memorable look.

Girls wear works best with graduation bleed prints, which appear on blouses, ponchos and hooded tops. Skirts remain flat and minimal, despite the big trend for volume. Trousers are skinny but styled with turn-ups or shaded in bright yellows and pinks, with the lone appearance of matt silver slacks and yellow leggings. Dresses are minimal this year, with only five in total, mostly decorated in denim detailing.
