We were hoping that the overcolourful Agatha would reflect the financial gloom and do an all-black collection, but the designer, who is huge in Spain, went all out this season with a rainbow of colours. Good for her!
Although an Autumn/Winter collection, Agatha seemed not to care about weather conditions with short hemlines and sleeves in abundance. Although Agatha should be merited for thinking about safety at winter. It’s hard to miss a little girl in a fluorescent orange coat crossing the road on a dark winter’s afternoon!
The best looks were Agatha’s show pieces – this is where she excels – plus children love dressing up. A huge Hussein Chalayn candy-floss style dress walks out, striped in yellow orange and red, an A-line dress exaggerated with a hula hoop, and a half-circle blue lame skirt decorated in lame hearts. You have to give it to her; Agatha knows how to make you smile!
