Pale Cloud Q&A with Marion Reynolds - Designer fashion brand of the year - HIGHLY COMMENDED

We meet the designer behind the 2014 Junior Design Award highly commended entry

Marion Reynolds, Creative Director, Pale Cloud.

Where do you find design inspiration?

An old movie, a country, time, art or just people can inspire me... it can come from anywhere!

 Do you have a muse?

I have a tiny little muse: my daughter Freya.

Why do you think parents are increasingly more interested in what their children are wearing?

I think people in generally are increasingly more aware of what they are wearing and this will naturally extent to their children, because they want them to look as good as they do.

What do you predict for the future of children’s fashion?

Predicting the future is never easy, but I hope there will be more awareness around children’s fashion and quality and that we are moving away from fast fashion.

If you could be a child again just for one day, what would you do and what would you wear?

I would probably be in the forest wearing a dress. I would climb the highest tree I could find with good climbing branches. I used to love climbing but with age heights has become scary, so going back without fear would be amazing!

Why did you enter the Junior Design Awards?

While pregnant Junior Magazine was THE magazine that stood out from all the rest. I looked forward to every edition coming to the store, and now I can read it online!
