WHAT: A luxury British label creating timeless clothes for girls made using ethically sourced materials with a low environmental impact wherever possible. For ages 2-8 years.

WHY: The hand-made feel of these pieces designed to be passed down for generations really made an impact on our judges who loved the lace panel work, pretty cotton fabrics and exquisite ruffle details. JDA18 judge, Junior Travel writer and founder of Mini Travellers, Karen Beddow said "Exceptional quality and love the designs.", while fellow judge and Top children's Stylist Yvadney Davis simply said "Everything about this is beautiful."

WHY: There was so much love for this brand and the Junior Design Awards 2018 judges were enchanted by Rachel Riley's selection of party dresses and occasion wear for boys. Junior Editor Bonita Turner said. "Rachel Riley's designs are always so beautiful and the quality is second to none. There's a reason why this brand is so hugely popular around the world. Every little girl needs a Rachel Riley frock."

WINNER: BRONZE FOR BEST UK CHILDREN'S FASHION BRAND

WHO: NELLIE QUATS

WHAT: A contemporary clothing range with an emphasis on comfort, loose structures, vintage prints and quality fabrics. From 18 months - 10 years.

WHY: The simple lines and pared down shapes of these clothes teamed with crumpled linens and beautiful liberty prints really struck a chord with our judges who loved the whole aesthetic and the emphasis on cool breezy comfort. Taste maven, founder of Edit 58 and JDA18 judge Lisa Mehydene said "Gorgeous brand! Beautiful natural fabrics and well-made garments. Love these designs." while shopping magpie, top stylist and Little Spree founder Sarah Clark summed up her feelings with two words, "Love them!!"
