Revealing the WINNERS of this year's Junior Design Awards...
Junior Design Awards 2017 for Best Online Children's Fashion Boutique
Clicking, buying, collecting or pining for the postman are all run of the mill activities now that online shopping is such an easy and convenient way to shop.
But which kids' websites elevate the online shopping experience to another level with easy to navigate pages, fabulous stock and that all important tissue paper wrapping?
The results are in - and the competition was fierce, so notice we have some joint Bronze winners for this category...
THE PLATINUM AWARD FOR BEST ONLINE CHILDREN'S FASHION BOUTIQUE... SCOUT & CO
Set up by three mums who noticed a gap in the market for the kind of clothes and gifts they themselves would really like to give and receive, Scout & Co. has a clear aesthetic that is reflected in the clean lines and graphic style of the website and their swoon-worthy stock.
Selling kids wear from labels like Tootsa, Smalls, Indikidual and Bobo Choses, as well as gifts for mamas and homewares, their edit is pared back and highly Instagram-friendly with a good dose of fun.
A special mention has to be given to their new online, shoppable magazine which features super slick design, beautifully styled shoots and interesting articles from mums in fashion, beauty and interiors making the whole S&C experience even more exciting and immersive than ever.
Junior Editor Bonita said: "All the judges loved Scout & Co's cool yet friendly feel from their distinctive sorbet graphics to the tissue wrapped deliveries with a handwritten thank you note.
"It's those little touches that make online shopping an experience to rival the high street."
THE GOLD AWARD FOR BEST ONLINE CHILDREN'S FASHION BOUTIQUE... LITTLECIRCLE
LITTLECIRCLE do luxury fashion for boys and girls extremely well. The stunning edit by founders Anna Bromilow and Lisa Picardo of hand-finished dresses, shirts and accessories are gasp-out-loud gorgeous and their beautiful Instagram feed is one of Junior's favourites.
But, the thing that really sets LITTLECIRCLE apart is their unique approach to bringing their clothes full circle by enabling their customers to re-sell their buys on the site's parallel platform RECYCLE.
By enabling customers to buy and sell pre-loved LittleCircle clothes in exchange for credit, they are a champion of sustainability and an antidote to fast fashion.
Junior Editor Bonita said: "From their exquisite attention to detail to their commitment to sustainability, LITTLECIRCLE founders Anna and Lisa have created something truly inspirational."
THE GOLD AWARD FOR BEST ONLINE CHILDREN'S FASHION BOUTIQUE... AlexandAlexa
Alex and Alexa is a one-stop shop for every item you could ever need for your little ones all brought together by a very savvy team of buyers.
They know exactly which pieces from the designer collections you will be lusting over and which new, cool and, crucially, more affordable labels you won't be able to resist this season.
Add to that their extremely entertaining blog that pulls in highly regarded writers, bloggers and influencers, as well as their beautifully styled and inspiring look books and this is a site that you can end up browsing for hours (and we have!).
THE JOINT BRONZE AWARD FOR BEST ONLINE CHILDREN'S FASHION BOUTIQUE... MONKEY MCCOY
Monkey McCoy is the shopping destination for parents and kids who like to marry style with comfort and most of all fun.
Founded in 2006 by Kerrie McCoy, whose initial inspiration came from noticing that kids’ fashion choices in the multi-brand shops seriously lacked style and trend!
Their edit of international labels all demonstrate a nod to the quirky, cool and conversational whether it be cactus emblazoned socks from Bang Bang Copenhagen or Beau Loves dresses covered in abstract moon prints.
We're also suckers for the fact that their packages arrive with sweet treats thrown in. We never saw them kids. Honest!
THE JOINT BRONZE AWARD FOR BEST ONLINE CHILDREN'S FASHION BOUTIQUE... INDI + WILL
Modern Scandinavian style online kids store Indi + Will was founded by a mother of two daughters named Indiana and Willow.
The girls without doubt inspired the store - their nicknames providing the perfect name for the website and their shopping needs the inspiration for stocking it with gorgeous goodies.
With an emphasis on ethical products that are beautiful, stylish and practical this really is a site you can shop with your halo intact.
A physical stand alone store is coming to Aberdeen, Scotland, soon - and if the website is anything to go by we can't wait to pay Indi + Will visit.
