WHY: The Bonnie Mob's clothes are well known for giving team Junior a smile-workout and we could wax lyrical about their collections for hours but this year we'll simply leave it up to our esteemed judges to tell you why The Bonnie Mob stole Platinum:

WHAT: Classic Spanish and British heritage inspired garments made using the highest quality materials with exceptional attention to detail. Perfect for special occasions or for anyone who loves a traditional feel. For ages 0-8yrs
WHY: Many of our judges were completely smitten by this collection of crisp, traditional clothes and they are in good company; Pepa & Co has been worn by the children of the royal family more than any other brand in the last few years! Designer Pepa Gonzalez set out to fill a gap in the market for high-quality children’s clothing with a traditional and smart design and says "We enjoy seeing our children look like children." JDA18 judge Gemma-Metcalfe Beckers (founder of The Mutha.Hood) was hugely impressed by the collection and said, "I can’t express my adoration of this beautiful brand. The quality is fantastic and the colours and details always bring this brand to the next level."

WHAT: Value, trend-led and practical babywear, with a fashionable twist from the 125 year strong High Street favourite
WHY: "If you're looking for a high street store that majors on quality and attention to detail M&S will never let you down." said Junior Editor Bonita Turner while she admired their entry to this year's Junior Design Awards. With a range that includes everything from classics and essentials to more fashion forward pieces, our judges were seriously impressed. Gemma Metcalfe-Beckers, founder of The Mutha.Hood has noticed a hike in quality recently, writing in her notes: "M&S deserve a massive round of applause. They have excelled in quality and design over the last two years. The prints, fabric and fit are all incredible. They stand out on the high street as highly innovative." Bravo M&S!

WINNER: BRONZE FOR BEST BABY FASHION BRAND
WHAT: A well priced, timeless collection of traditional style baby clothes with incredible attention to detail and extra flourishes for a dash of originality. For ages 0-23 months.
WHY: There was a huge amount of love for this British, family owned label that operates from studios based in Devon. JDA Judge and Contributing Editor Ellie Crompton said, "There is so much thought put into this adorable collection and I love how you can buy a top to toe outfit with all the trimmings without having to spend a fortune. Great quality and great value."
