Cologne – fit for a king
Live like royalty in this Rhineland hotel
Pity poor Prince Johann Wilhelm II. He constructed a palatial pad near Cologne to impress his new wife but died in 1716 before they had the chance to use it. The palace has now been transformed into the rather regal Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg. Children are greeted with a platter of fruit and chocolate treats, and can enjoy a wealth of activities in the stunning Rhineland setting. From €380 per night for a Junior Suite.
Read our City Guide for lots of ideas of how to enjoy yourselves in Cologne and see how Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg celebrates Christmas.
