There are many reasons to visit Borgo Egnazia on the coast of Puglia (located on the “heel” of Italy), but one of the best is the thing that strikes you first: its appearance. Ten years in development and four years in the making, the 50-acre resort is a modern interpretation of the surrounding ancient city of Egnazia, consisting of a boutique hotel, a traditional village with cobblestone streets and a church, as well as private villas. There are plenty of activities, too, including a Beach Club with an array of watersports and three tennis courts. Children are looked after by fully-qualified staff and can enjoy cookery lessons, sports, a visit to a dairy and the on-site adventure park.
For a family of four it costs from €270 per night for the hotel, €715 per night to stay in a village townhouse and €825 per night for a villa, including B&B.
