Be a super storyteller on World Read Aloud day

Boost your child’s imagination, literacy and confidence through reading

The benefits of reading with your child are well documented – educational, developmental, emotional – but it’s always useful to get a little reminder.

World Read Aloud Day, on March 6, is a global celebration of literature and storytelling, aimed at raising awareness of just how powerful words can be.

Whether you read aloud to your child, or her to you, the experience of telling stories can help forge an emotional bond between reader and listener, as well as encouraging the development of her literacy skills and imagination.

Stories can also teach young and old alike about the world around them – introducing us to people and places that we might not otherwise come across, and inspiring us to question our environment.

So how can you get involved? Taking action is as simple as picking up a book!

If you lack confidence in your oratory ability, never fear, read our expert advice on becoming an accomplished storyteller and take inspiration from our top 100 children’s books – as voted for by Junior’s distinguished readers.

You can also get plenty of tips and advice as well as download a free activity pack from LitWorld’s World Read Aloud Day page.

We are still believing in stories and drama, actually we should because we have often seen that media is going far away than what we saw in early 90's. I believe that you should also choose hot topics like dissertation writing tips for your blogs as thousands of the students search these words daily, if you are only willing to share only one key point in each article, believe me or not, you are gonna find your own way by dragging a huge traffic world wide.
