Cambridge On Ice
November 20–January 2
Head to Parker's Piece green for open-air skating fun at Cambridge On Ice.
Time: 9am–9pm (Mon–Weds, Sun), 9am–10pm (Thurs, Fri, Sat). Cost: £8.95 (adults), £6.50 (children).

Canary Wharf
November 13–January 20
Skate in the shadows of the famous towers of Canary Wharf.
Time: 9.45am–11pm (Mon–Sat), 9.45am–7.30pm (Sun). Cost: £12 (adults), £7.50 (children).

Cardiff Winter Wonderland
November 10–January 3
Head to Cardiff Winter Wonderland for the Admiral Open Air Ice Rink and fairground rides, including the John Lewis wheel.
Time: 11am–10.40pm. 9.40am–10.40pm (from December 18).

Edinburgh Ice Rink
November 25–January 4
As well as the skating, there's a whole host of wintry fun happening at Edinburgh Ice Rink. Santa Claus will be visiting the ice rink on December 4 and 5 and there will be an Xmas Factor competition happening on December 22. There will also be two outdoor stages hosting live music acts.
Time: 10am–8pm (Sun–Weds), 10am–10pm (Thurs–Sat). Cost: £8.50 (adults), £7.50 (children).

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
November 19–January 4
Thrill out with ice rink, fairground rides and Christmas market at Hyde Park's mammoth Winter Wonderland.

The Ice Factor York
November 20–January 9
Combine skating with a spot of Christmas shopping at The Ice Factor, located at York Designer Outlet. The rink is surrounded by log cabins with a giant Christmas tree standing proudly at its centre.

Lincoln On Ice
November 25–January 2
The Lincoln On Ice skating rink is at the heart of the city and offers penguin aids for children who are just finding their skating feet.

Liverpool ONE
November 10–January 31
As well as an Alpine Style ice rink, the Liverpool One attraction boasts an ice palace grotto, inflatable snow globe, giant swing chairs and an ice climbing wall.

Natural History Museum Ice Rink
November 5–January 9
Overlooked by Alfred Waterhouse's ornate museum building, the Natural History Museum lawn is one of London's most picturesque skating spots.

Royal Pavilion Ice Rink
November 13–January 16
A temporary rink in the grounds of Brighton's grand Royal Pavilion with beginners' area, penguin skate aids and a ringside restaurant and bar.

Skating @ Life
November 13– February 27
Go for a glide on the ice rink outside the Life Science Centre, Newcastle.

Sponsored by Tiffany And Co, Somerset House's magnificent rink boasts a Tiffany Tuck Shop and a Christmas tree decked out in Tiffany blue.

Swansea Waterfront Wonderland
November 19–January 9
Skate on the ice rink, meet Santa in his grotto and enjoy the thrills and spills of the funfair outside the National Waterfront Museum.

Mega mall Westfield has an indoor rink, plus a 3D Santa's Grotto attraction.
