Sunflowerfest

Jet, Set, Go!
July 1–September 4
Head to Exploris Aquarium in Strangford Lough, Portaferry, for interactive holiday exhibition Jet, Set Go. This simulated experience takes young travellers through all the different stages of a holiday, from packing bags, to boarding the plane and meeting the pilot, all the way to arriving at the holiday destination.

Lasertag W5: The Legend of the Lost Relic
July 2–September 4
Children can work as part of a team of intergalactic treasure hunters sent to a jungle planet to search for lost treasure at W5 in Belfast.

Carrickfergus Playday
August 3
Get outdoors and celebrate Playday 2011 at Windmill play park, Carrickfergus. Children can enjoy face painting, balloon modelling and plenty of other organised fun and games surrounding the newly extended activity space. 

Festival Of Flight One Cool Weekend
August 6, 7
Chill out in Newcastle, County Down, with Festival Of Flight One Cool Weekend. Watch the skies for dazzling displays by the Red Arrows, catch circus shows, hear cool tunes and more.

Music And Traditional Games Day
August 7
Enjoy an afternoon full of traditional games including hopscotch, egg and spoon races and sack races on the front lawn at Castle Coole in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.

Craft Fest
August 12–14
Try out new skills, make crafts in the children's craft tent and peruse lots of beautiful handiworks at Castle Ward, Downpatrick, County Down.

Maiden City Festival
August 6–13
Enjoy traditional dancing, costumed drama and music as part of Londonderry's Maiden City Festival.

Sunflowerfest
August 19–21
Head to the family-friendly Sunflowerfest in Hillsborough, County Down, with music, storytelling, art workshops, children's yoga and more.
