Th13teen – the world’s first free fall drop rollercoaster, which sends both train and track plummeting towards earth – is the star new attraction at the Staffordshire theme park. For those who prefer not to be scared out of their skins (or who don’t yet exceed the height restriction), there are plenty more gentler diversions on offer…

Cloud Cuckoo Land is a dreamy world where children can go for a whirl on the Twirling Toadstool, explore Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory or get behind the wheel at the mini driving school. New for this year is the Go!Go!Go! Show, a high energy all-singing, all-dancing spectacle that will get children up on their feet.

Cost £34 (adults), £27 (children).

Alton Towers, Staffordshire ST10 4DB.

Family theme parks with such nice themes are rare to found. Children would be really thrilled to visit such dinosaur-themed world parks. The dinosaurs event fantasies both children and adults, manufactured housing so one of the best themes to be chosen for a family park.
