See this stage show: Kindur
Join a woolly odyssey with this interactive performance
If there are sheep on stage, then chances are you’re watching the school’s annual nativity play and your little thespian has been overlooked for one of the plumb, non-baaing parts.
But in this interactive performance presented by Crying Out Loud, the sheep are the stars of the show. The title, Kindur, is Icelandic for sheep, and the performance charts the seasonal migration of Icelandic sheep as they wend their way across a dramatic landscape of volcanoes, waterfalls and glaciers.
Three dancers lead the performance, while members of the audience are each given a woolly heart-shaped badge. When their badges glow red, it's time to trot up onto the stage and join in the journey.
Italy’s acclaimed visual theatre company TPO are the architects of amazing special effects, using a pressure sensitive floor and amazing projections to conjure a fantastical world, where trolls and elves lurk and the Northern Lights magnificiently blaze across the sky.
And there’s not a homemade cotton wool costume in sight.
