Natural History Museum
November 2–January 6
Set in the shadow of the majestically floodlit Natural History Museum and surrounded by twinkly fairy-light adorned trees, this rink offers an impressive 950 square feet on which to gracefully glide (or awkwardly slide as the case may be).

Canary wharf
November 3–January 13
An icy oasis in the centre of London’s second business district, Canary Wharf’s winter rink is as shiny, slick and modern as the skyscrapers which surround it. Brand new top-of-the-range skates are available for children who fancy themselves as tiny Torvils plus fresh modern cuisine and drinks will be provided by rinkside eatery, The Moose.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Until January 6
London’s largest winter event is a festive feast for the senses in the heart of Hyde Park. Attractions include an enormous outdoor rink surrounded by twinkly pea-lights, a Bavarian village offering warming winter eats and a chance to meet Santa Claus himself.

Ice At The Tower
November 17–January 6
The shiver down your spine may be as much to do with the eerily historic surroundings as the glacial ground at the Tower Of London’s outdoor rink. The dry moat of the capital’s famous historical landmark will be transformed into a festive skating ground whilst onlookers can observe from the comfort of the on-site café.

Westfield Stratford City
November 19–January 6
Take some time out between Christmas shopping sessions at Westfield Stratford City for a spin around London’s newest outdoor ice rink, boasting impressive views over the Olympic Park and the endless amenities of Europe’s largest urban shopping centre within easy reach.

Eyeskate
November 17–January 6
The opportunity to combine a whirl around this bijou rink on the South Bank with a ride on the colossal rotating tourist attraction which towers above it means Eyeskate could be the perfect winter day out. You don’t have to go on the London Eye to skate here, but it helps.

Skate At Somerset House
November 16–January 6
The grand dame of London’s icy attractions returns to Somerset House, offering skating lessons, storytelling and rink-side snacks from Michelin-starred chef Tom Aitkens. Children with a taste for the high life should be more than impressed with this stately courtyard and liberal sprinkling of powder-blue glamour courtesy of sponsors, Tiffany & Co.

Hampton Court
Until January 13
Still grandiose in the extreme but now mercifully free of decapitation-happy tyrants, the outdoor rink at Hampton Court is a spectacular skating setting fit for any little prince or princess.
