Scribble yourself silly at this fabulous family event
Pencils at the ready! The Big Draw is a nationwide celebration of drawing that will see hundreds of events taking place across the country, including a wealth of arty enjoyment throughout London.
The V&A’s launch event, Big Draw, Big Make, taking place this Sunday, September 30 will see a full day of free drawing activities inspired by the museum’s collection plus visits from legendary etchers Quentin Blake and Gerald Scarfe.
Children can meet Cbeebies' Mister Maker for a crown-designing workshop while the Battle of the Cartoonists will see top sketchers from national newspapers and Private Eye have a scribbling showdown to create the best cartoon for a topical tapestry in the V&A.
Other events throughout the month in the capital will include large-scale collage at the Royal Air Force Museum, wildlife drawing at the London Wetland Centre and free children’s activity packs during the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea.
