Christmas At Beamish

Discover the traditions of Christmas through the ages at the interactive Beamish Museum in County Durham where you can experience all the trimmings of a Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian Christmas. Festive families can stroll around the village taking in cooking traditions, vintage-style shopping and meet an old-fashioned Father Christmas in his magical grotto.
Get your Christmas shopping off to a flying start in the historic city of Durham which for one weekend will be taken over by a giant craft and gift marquee and local food producers market. Entertainment throughout the weekend will include reindeer, sleigh rides and a children’s lantern procession
Head to Selfridges in Manchester for an afternoon of magical fun with a very special visitor, The Gruffalo. Young fans of the classic children’s story will have opportunity to meet the gentle giant himself, listen to special readings, have their face painted and enter a competition to see The Gruffalo Live on tour.

For a very merry festive day out this Christmas, Nickelodeon Land in Blackpool is a veritable feast of seasonal activity. Children receive a special gift from Father Christmas in Santa’s Magical Grotto, browse the yuletide gifts and eats in the traditional chalets of the Festive Walk and whirl around the glacial ground at the ice rink.
