Zooming effortlessly around the track, Lightening McQueen offers a cheeky wink to the watching crowds as his loveable sidekick Mater clunks and puffs his way into the inside lane with a goofy smile and a cloud of exhaust fumes…
Many families will no doubt be familiar with this scene from Disney’s hit animated film Cars, except this is no movie: These cars are live, life-sized and speeding around a giant ice rink in front of your very eyes.
The Disney On Ice Presents Worlds Of Fantasy tour will be sweeping across the UK this winter, featuring a lifelike animatronic McQueen as well as other favourite Disney characters including the cast of Toy Story, embarking on a typically crazy caper.
Audiences are invited to an underwater fiesta courtesy of The Little Mermaid and to discover the mystical world of Pixie Hollow with diminutive darling Tinkerbell, all hosted by veteran Disney couple Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
The stars of Disney On Ice are strapping on their skates from October 4 and will be sprinkling some winter magic in various venues throughout the UK until November 20.
