Looking like across between a Mr Men character and Roobarb the dog from Roobarb & Custard, Wubbzy is a sweet-tempered but excitable little fella who gets up to antics with his cohorts, Walden, Daizy and Widget. But an extra dollop of glamour in this mini movie comes in the shape of one Ms Beyoncé Knowles, who makes her debut in a children’s project. Typecast as gorgeous chanteuse, Shine, from the girl group The Wubb Girlz!, she is suitably bootilicious for her preschool audience (there’s no actual bottom shaking here). The heat is on as the town gears up for talent show Wubb Idol, and Wubbzy wonders if he can muster the confidence to shine.
