Penned by celebrated poetess Julia Donaldson, the picture book Room On The Broom is a lyrical flight of fancy, coupled with lively and distinctive illustrations by the talented Mr Scheffler. The story follows a flame-haired witch and her adventures atop a broomstick one windy night. Performed by the Tall Stories theatre company, this magical, musical show conjures up the spirit of Donaldson and Scheffler’s work, with catchy songs and colourful puppets. As part of Kids Week, seven lucky Junior readers and their families (up to four members) can not only win tickets to see Room On The Broom on August 20, but also sit down with members of the cast at a VIP post-show tea party. Come dressed as a little witch or a hungry dragon and the guest voted best-dressed will win a highly covetable goody bag.
