my daughter has been approached by uk models support agency, is this a good way to get into modelling and are they reputable, they seem it on internet, they want her to go to London for a 3 hours shoot primarily and have asked me for a £50 refundable deposit for the studio, does this sound fair and proper

My daughter is 10 years old and wants to be a model. I applied to a modelling platform agency in London who contacted us straight away saying she definitely has the look and inviting us for a test shoot, stating that they are so confident about her that they woul pay for it , asking only for a 50 pounds refundable deposite. My daughter really enjoyed herself and the pictures were lovely . When called back for the assessment , the adviser said that my daughter had passed the assessment and they would now link her to agencies. Then came the catch , she would have to have a portfolio which we had to decide on there and then .These packages were not cheap , but we felt obliged to go ahead. We are now thinking we have made the wrong decision .Any advice please

Hi, my daughter is about to do the same on Friday with themodelsearch.co.uk. I feel like I was a buttered up quite a lot and paid the £50 deposit. Really worried now I will get the hard sell on the day. Please can you tell me how much the portfolio cost and whether you have heard from them since re agencies???
My daughter is so excited and it is too late to cancel now so I am glad your daughter had s good time as that will hopefully be the same for us.
