Twin-Set Girl fall 2012 catwalk report
Junior reports from Pitti Bimbo
Twin-Set, the accomplished womenswear label, showcased their sparkling new girlswear collection at this season's Pitti Bimbo. The focal point was on loose fitting cotton and silk dresses, with a boho, prairie mood decorated with scatterings of sequins or beads and fabric corsages.
Colours reflected this seasons love affair with matching pastels, brights with black outerwear and knitted accessories. Grey was also a popular shade for knitwear and teal shades punctuated an assortment of occasion wear dresses. Standout details were silk ruffles that sat neatly on jersey and knitted dresses and a variety of knitwear techniques such as cable and appliqué patterned knee length cardigans and jumpers.
Unusually amidst the boho mood, Twin-Set headed to the eighties with their evening and partywear with net ra ra skirts teamed with bold slogan T-shirts. Reaching back a few more decades to the roaring twenties, they also showed tunic and flapper style dresses teamed with trilbies.
