SIMONETTA'S SHOW BEGIN'S with a signature summer dress matched with a straw trilby and a floral clutch. A somewhat eclectic collection is on display: liberty-print summer dresses, see-through plastic macs, girly T-shirts with Parisian prints and capped shorts followed by summer dresses with overlapping wrapped fabric cut tight to the torso, almost Preen like.
There are also a host of nautical-inspired Fifties slacks, jersey cardigans with capped sleeves and bows, soft tailored jackets and, of course, Simonetta’s classic summer silhouette - the sun dress.
Other highlights included a striking silk black all-in-one with cuffed sleeves, tapered silk trousers that took inspiration from the Autumn/Winter womenswear collections and a dazzling sculptured and refined cotton dress that was reminiscent of something designer Hussein Chalayan would send out.
