Summer festivals were the prominent theme when Guess presented its Spring/Summer fair outside of the children’s fashion event Pitti Bimbo. With references to a variety of historical music events, such as Glastonbury and Woodstock, clothing also took inspiration from streetwear. Boys wore skater chains over their cropped baggy jeans and graduation bleed T-shirts with band motifs were popular. Girls wore summer dresses in check and floral prints layered over black leggings and matched with waistcoats or short-sleeved denim jackets. Tie-dye was a nice introduction, too, covering tunics and frilled dresses, and Fifties rockabilly-style tattoos were interpreted into prints on T-shirts, leggings and denims. The highlight? A T-shirt dress worn with a cropped red biker jacket for all those mini Amy Winehouses out there.
