Hunting out and bringing you new and exciting fashion discoveries is all part of the job here at Junior. The Spring Summer 2012 edition of Kleine Fabriek brought a few new lines worth starting a fashionable buzz about.
The funky fashion label from Antwerp, Kid Vanilla, is living up to it's name and launching a childrenswear collection for spring summer 2012. Taking inspiration from the mainline adult collection, we love the long hooded sweaters with ruff shoulder detail, smiley face raindrop print and limited colour palette of grey, black white, pink, blue and yellow. Dutch label Supertrash is also going small for Summer 2012, presenting a gorgeous girlswear collection in a subtle colour palette of navy, caramel and cream.
Mijn impressed us with their tailored coats - reminiscent of the styles that the Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted wearing in her recent fashion tour de force. With fitted bodice and drop waists, they are elegant and stylish with a whiff of regality about them.
Simply chic new label, LeoZ, caught our eye with it's almost entirely grey and white coloured collection. The hero product of the range is the swaddle bag - the sleeping bag shape has the same effect of keeping your baby feeling 'swaddled' but keeps the arms free, with a slit in the middle to allow for the car seat strap to be passed through without disturbing the baby's sleep - a stylish solution. The accompanying clothing is adorable, in white or grey with matching ribbon. There will also be a collaboration to look out for with clothing label, Little Heroes, launching with the range for 2012. In stark colour contrast, Dutch label Tapete showed bright and bold T-shirts and babygrows with animal designs.
Although Belgian label Bellerose has been our style radar for a while now, we were really excited to see the new SS12 collection. In a line-up of well-dressed mannequins, we couldn't pick our favourite - every outfit was a winner. Bright yellow coats matched with nude dress, leopard print teamed with tartan check and topped off with a straw hat - surely the staple for next summer. Spanish label Yporqué also had another fantastic collection; with hooded jumpers with incorporated masks, tops with detachable necklaces and pyjamas with capes. Not only was the collection fun and playful the colour palette, featuring mustard yellows, nudes and black, was on trend for the season.
