FOR ELSY, IT initially seemed that it was going to be the summer of love. Their catwalk is branded with ‘Elsy’ spelt  in flowers. This theme is certainly extended to some of the collection, particularly a dreamy prairie-style summer dress and top, but rather unusually for a girls’ summer collection, black features strongly, albeit alongside brighter whites. T-shirts sport slogans stating Life Begins Now and Change Your Look, perhaps as a nod to Katharine Hamnett – although Miss Hamnett would never decorate her slogans in diamanté crystals.
