Chloe SS11 press day
Junior previews the new SS11 Chloe collection
The Chloe childrenswear collection has over the last couple of years followed the design ethos of the brand's former head designer Phoebe Philo, who introduced a Sixties dolly girl enthused feel to the brand, with over-sized bows and frills, lantern sleeves and pleated details, which translated well into the kidswear but were beginning to get a bit tired. This season the brand's visionary new head designer Hannah MacGibbon ushers in a fresh, sweetly simple look. Gone is the vintage style Sixties garb and in are minimalist dresses and separates made feminine and girly with palletes of soft pinks, beiges and creams. The stand-out dress is the above silk pleated summer dress, which would work either at a break at the Hamptons or for a little maiden at a summer wedding.
