Backstage at Miss Blumarine AW12-13
Junior brings you exclusive behind the scenes images
With around 30 children in one big room you would expect there to be choas, but the atmosphere backstage at a childrenswear fashion show tends to be calm and reflective as the young models wait in line for their hair and make up to be done, then patiently in a line for their catwalk entrance.
Miss Blumarine gave each of the girls an oversized T-shirt to put on over their own clothes while the hairdressers worked their magic, and they coped very well with the presence of a cameraman towering over them as the presenter asked questions for Italian television.
Each girl had a rail with her clothes and accessories bagged together with her name and a picture of how it all looks; her dresser waits by the rail for her.
They are dressed with 10-15 minutes to go before the show and then they are all lined up around the room in order which continually breaks down as they chat to each other, give pretend blusher pinches to the cheeks and finally get fed up and sit down on the floor.
With one last check on the line up, the music starts... and they are off.
