Don’t Put Your Pants On Your Head, Fred by Caryl Hart and Leigh Hodgkinson (Orchard, £10.99)

Some children can’t get enough of the word “pants”. This book is for them. Fred finds he has terrible trouble getting dressed every morning, so he calls on Sergeant Smart for a spot of training. However, Fred discovers that even the sergeant’s soldiers haven’t got a clue how to get dressed! A silly, lively tale to encourage those children who haven’t yet learned how to dress themselves.
