Stripy Horse Just For You! by Jim Helmore and Karen Wall (Egmont, £4.99)

Since he first appeared in a dusty toy shop in 2007, Stripy Horse has gathered an army of young fans.  This simple boardbook is designed for his youngest audience. With a gently lilting text, written in rhyme, the rainbow-coloured colt is, rather appropriately, exploring an array of vibrant colours – from red balloons to a silver moon, a green top hat to a purple feather. A sweet book, with a very endearing central character who will appeal to toddlers.
