Pip And Posy The Super Scooter by Axel Scheffler (Nosy Crow, £7.99)

In Scheffler’s trademark illustrative style, he tells the story of two furry friends who have to overcome a playtime conflict. Pip is riding on his scooter when Posy swoops in and grabs it from him. She is so busy enjoying herself that she doesn’t notice that Pip is unhappy, yet when Posy falls off, Pip is there to look after her. Posy soon realises that she should have been considerate to her chum and they make up, playing nicely in the sandpit.
