Ahlberg's friendly skeletons just can't decide what pet would be best suited to their lifestyle, having grown tired of their bony dog they replace him with a skeletal parrot who doesn't seem to fit the bill either. Growing tired of the flagrant abuse of his kind exchange policy, the pet shop owner offers 'dem bones a mystery pet in a box, leading to a surprise ending and a happy resolution for all. A great book for preschoolers who will chuckle along to the characters' cheeky sense of humour.
