Busy Places and Amazing Jobs (Lonely Planet, £9.99 each)

World Search is an exciting and engrossing new series from Lonely Planet. Suitable for readers aged 5 and over, it teaches little future explorers about the world around them. Each page is packed full of detailed drawings and features over 50 flaps to lift, as well as a page of stickers and activities which will keep children occupied for hours.

Educational and fun in equal measure, Busy Places takes the reader around the world, from Brazil to the Big Apple and teaches them about each individual culture. While Amazing Jobs explains what kind of work is specific to certain parts of the world, for example Sherpas whose job it is to make sure that climbers on Mount Everest stay safe as they hike up the planet’s highest mountain. Made with thick sturdy card, these books are built to last and the series will be a firm favourite for many children.
