Margot And Mo by Olive&Moss (Egmont, £5.99)

One for the little ’uns.

Olive & Moss had already caught Junior's beady eye with their sweet children’s fashion festooned with animal characters – but who knew they had this up their sleeve too? Part of a series of baby books, this pretty-as-a-pink-primula read tells the tale of Margot and Mo, two mice preparing for afternoon tea by collecting multiples of various objects –  one spotty teapot, two colourful cups, three pretty plates and so forth. This is simple and sweet, has a whiff of  the Seventies within its colour palette and the shiny board pages should prove babyproof. What more could you want? Well, five tasty cakes, perhaps.
