The Cupcake Sticker Book (Buster Activity, £5.99)

This seems self-explanatory enough – 10 pages of tasty stickers and 24 more to place them on. But while cupcakes may be a tad outré on the dining scene (its all about the cronut now) there's no overstating the epicurean delight of sticking rows and rows dainty macaroons, white chocolate gateaux and dolly mixture on illustrations of ornate cake stands, picnic blankets and more.

Er, not that I’ve been playing with it all to myself, of course. Sweet-toothed tots will find plenty to satisfy within this activity book’s pages; the bold pastel hues, the dinky little donuts and the princess with a cake dress. One word of caution: Stock up on snacks, this will make you hungry.

sevens This time the illustrator extraordinaire shows us a little birdy being taught to peck by her proud papa. “Practise hard and have some fun” advises the sage avian, at which our protagonist embarks on a riotous pecking spree, leaving a steadily mounting arrangement of holes on every page.
