An intelligent take on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, in which a little boy decides to build a robot to be his friend. There’s a comic twist when there is a new baby in the fold, but it’s the robot who feels left out and leaves home. The reunion is heart-warming and reassuring – a quirky refreshing rendering of a familiar topic make this a good book to read with siblings with a new baby in the house.
