How can a book that is not yet released be in the running for an award of 'best book'? Seems unfair to other authors and makes the awards a contest of who can get more of their friends to vote rather than providing genuine recognition for hard work.

^ Agreed with the above - this is grossly unfair for other authors that are in the running for the award. Can Junior Magazine please comment? A few of us would love to know how you can win an award for something that doesn't yet exist.

Hi Sally and Gemma, thank you for getting in touch. I am happy to look into this and adjust the category if appropriate. Please can you drop us an email, here: catherine.hudson@immediate.co.uk Thanks

Hi Sally and Gemma. After further review, we agree that it is unfair to include an unpublished book and can only apologise, since this was unintentional human error. We loved the book in the office, and confused the publishing date, thinking that it was already available. We hope you will still be voting in the remaining categories, and thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Confusion reigns! Please could you let us know which book you think there is an issue over, by emailing catherine.hudson@immediate.co.uk, as we have checked again and they all appear to be published. Perhaps there is an issue over the country it is published in. We have reinstated all authors. Best wishes, Catherine
