Make your own play dough

Perfect for a rainy day, this home-made dough is the recipe for playtime success

Ingredients

1 cup of plain flour
Half a cup of salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 cup of water 

Optional:

1 teaspoon food colouring 
1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Method:

Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl and transfer to a medium, heavy based saucepan.
Slowly cook the mixture over a low heat until fully combined and thickened to a firm texture.
Remove the mixture from the heat and allow to cool.

Now enjoy squashing and sculpting the dough with your child!
