Paper frame
Crown a picture of your Valentine with this easy-to-make frame.
Materials
Mounting card
PVA glue
Newspaper strips
White emulsion/acrylic paint
Wire
Ribbon.
How to make
Using this template, draw a crown on mounting card with a heart in the centre, and cut out. Dilute PVA glue in equal parts with water, brush over all the card shape and stick on a layer of newspaper strips. Brush over with diluted PVA, wrapping the strips over the edges of the card. Let dry, then paint with watered-down white emulsion/acrylic paint, letting the newspaper show through. Decorate with words cut from newspapers or magazines. Make a hole in the top of the frame and thread with wire or ribbon for hanging. You could tape a favourite photograph behind the heart-shaped aperture, or glue a small mirror in place.
