Harumika (Bandai, from £9.99)

For children who love to realise their designs in 3D, a Harumika mini mannequin set could be just the job. Using an array of fabrics, buttons, ribbons, bows and sequins, designers can create their own bijou catwalk looks. Fabrics are neatly held in place with a silicon strip, so there’s no finicky stitching to be done. The Harumika Starter Set includes exotic, country and surfer styles. There are also Designer Dress Form Sets, with fabrics and accessories inspired by styles from New York to Tokyo. And just like in the real fashion world, children can put their designs to the critics, uploading photos to the Harumika website. Each week, users vote one mini fashionista the Designer Of The Week. A worthy accolade indeed.
